Description

12 Panel Cup

The 12 Panel Medical signature rapid results drug test, 12 panel drug test cups are recommended when more extensive testing of opiates and painkillers is required. Our 12 panel tests are multi screen drug tests that detect the ten drugs and metabolites in the comprehensive 10 panel drug test, with the addition of opiates and painkillers that cannot be detected in fewer panels.

When the drug of abuse if not known, 12 panel drug test bulk products are available in two configurations. Industry standards, company culture, or individual circumstance may also impact the need to test for different drugs and metabolites. 12 panel drug test bulk products allow you to choose between testing for PCP or Tricyclic Antidepressants in the twelfth panel.

CLIA waived for accurate and repeatable results, 12 Panel Medical test cups are very difficult to tamper with. Integrated adulterant testing for Creatinine, Nitrite, pH, bleach, and SG, customizable and sensitive cutoff concentrations, and temperature checks to ensure the validity of the sample make 12 panel drug test accuracy reliable and valuable. Employing immunoassay technology for qualitative results within minutes of collecting the specimen, they are the test cup of choice for employers, organizations, governments, and individuals who need to test extensively for painkillers and other commonly abused drugs.

In many workplace environments and clinical settings, the 12 panel drug test is becoming the most common form of drug testing. In the context of the current opioid crisis, the 12 panel test configuration is the best option for testing in clinical toxicology laboratories, drug abuse clinics, rehabilitation facilities, law enforcement agencies, and physician’s offices

Manufactured for professional use but made simple enough for non-certified operators, this approach to multi screen drug testing is 99% accurate, cost effective, and delivers definitive results rapidly. The automated immunoassay technology used in our testing cups is FDA 510(k) and OTC cleared for at-home use, making it an accessible option outside of a rehabilitation or clinical environment.

Cutoff Concentrations

Drugs undergo metabolism in the liver, become water soluble, and are then eliminated through the urine. Urine drug tests test human urine specimens to determine whether drug use is present. Urine testing provide long detection windows following last usage of the drug and are also customizable in terms of cutoff levels.

12 panel drug test cutoff levels are used to determine whether a result qualifies as positive or negative for drug use or abuse, dependent on the cutoff concentrations set. All 12 Panel Medical 12 panel drug tests are pre-set to comply with the 12 panel drug test cutoff levels regulated by SAMHSA. They are expressed in nanograms per milliliter (ng/ml) and are adjusted as follows:

  • Amphetamine 1000 ng/ml
  • Barbiturates 300 ng/ml
  • Benzodiazepines 300 ng/ml
  • Buprenorphine 10 ng/ml
  • Cocaine 300 ng/ml
  • Ecstasy 500 ng/ml
  • THC 50 ng/ml
  • Methadone 50 ng/ml
  • Methamphetamine 1000 ng/ml
  • Morphine 300 ng/ml
  • Opiates 2000 ng/ml
  • Oxycodone 100 ng/ml
  • Tricyclic Antidepressants 1000 ng/ml
  • PCP 25 ng/ml

The result from immunoassay drug tests are qualitative – the parent drug or its metabolites is detected, but the quantity is not reported. You may reconfigure concentration cutoff levels on all 12 panel drug test bulk products to gain more insight into the amounts of legal and illegal drugs being used.

Instructions

Operators should ensure careful handling of urine drug tests to ensure the validity and accuracy of the results. Follow collection protocols and sample validation procedures to optimize the results and minimize the chances of a false-negative or false-positive. This includes proper storage, proper handling and disposal, ensuring all controls are met, and discarding of any contaminated cups or specimens.

To begin, remove the 12 panel drug test cup from the packaging and remove the seals. You should never store test cups in the freezer. If the test cup was stored in a refrigerator, it must be brought to room temperature (59-78 degrees F) before it can be used.

Operators will have the donor should date and initial the cup. Operators will also inform donors that they must provide at last 15 ml of urine, with the optimal amount being 30 ml for laboratory use.

After providing the specimen, the donor should seal the cup. Upon receiving the specimen from the donor, operators should start a five-minute timer and check the cap to ensure it is securely sealed and remove the peel-off label. They may also check for any signs of tampering or contamination at this time.

Between two and four minutes, the temperature indicator can be checked for validity. It should be sitting between 90 and 100 degrees F, the expected average temperature of human urine specimen.  After five minutes, the operator can review results. Discard of the rapid results drug test if the results are not reviewed before eight minutes.

Interpreting Results

Interpreting the results of a 12 panel drug test is as easy as checking the results indicator five minutes after collecting the specimen.

A positive result is indicated by no colored band forming in the result area of the testing cup. A positive result means that the sample contains one or a combination of the drugs and metabolites tested for. Positive results should be sent to a toxicology laboratory for confirmation.

A negative result is indicated by a colored band forming in the result area of the testing cup. A negative result means that the sample is below the cutoff concentration for the drugs and metabolites tested for. If tampering is suspected, SAMHSA has established guidelines to determine whether a specimen can be considered valid.
