5 Panel Drug Test
12 Panel Medical drug testing cups are fast, easy to use, CLIA waived and FDA approved. These one-step 5 panel urine drug test cups use immunoassay technology to detect the presence of multiple drugs and metabolites in human urine within 99% accuracy. Immunoassay urine drug tests offer accuracy, convenience, and speed without the need for time-consuming and costly clinical analysis.
Unlike other 5 panel drug tests that are limited to testing for five illegal and legal drugs, our testing cups are capable of detecting six. These multi drug screen tests are recommended when drug use is suspected but the specific drug of abuse is not known – and when results are needed quickly. Intended to be a rapid results drug test, 5 panel cups offer qualitative, visual, and easy to read results in as little as five minutes.
5 panel urine drug tests are ergonomically designed to reduce messes and feature a no-drip screw top lid for effortless handling and extra security. All 12 Panel Medical test cups come with a leaflet of instruction to assist you in conducting the test and reading the results. Technologically designed for professional use but simple enough for testing in the home, the all-inclusive test requires no additional equipment or training.
5 panel tests are multi drug screen tests that detect the presence of six illegal and legal drugs and offer simultaneous, qualitative, and accurate results. Use the test for:
The 5 panel rapid results drug test is intended for the professional use of clinical toxicology laboratories, drug abuse clinics and rehabilitation facilities, law enforcement agencies, and physician’s offices.
However, 12 Panel Medical prioritizes ease of use in the design of all testing cups, making urine drugs tests an option for the workplace and in-home testing in addition to regulated environments. Simply collect the sample, secure the no-drip lid, and leave the cup to rest for five minutes before interpreting results.
5 panel multi drug screen tests from 12 Panel Medical detect amphetamines, benzoylecgonine (cocaine metabolite), 11-nor-9-carboxy-tetrahydrocannibinol (marijuana), methamphetamines, opiates (morphine/heroin metabolite), and oxycodone in human urine in compliance with cut-off concentrations determined by SAMHSA guidelines.
Cut-off concentrations are expressed as nanograms per milliliter (ng/ml) and are set as follows:
- Amphetamines 1000 ng/ml
- Cocaine 300 ng/ml
- THC 50 ng/ml
- Methamphetamine 1000 ng/ml
- Opiates 2000 ng/ml
- Morphine 300 ng/ml
- Oxycodone 100 ng/ml
Medical quality immunoassay technology is capable of sensing even the smallest concentrations of drugs and metabolites in urine and reduces the probability of obtaining a false-positive to within less than 1%.
When ready to collect the sample, remove the 5 panel urine drug test from the pouch and remove the seals. If the test cup was stored in a refrigerator, it must be brought to room temperature (59-78 degrees F) before use.
Before providing a specimen, the donor should date and initial the cup in the designated space. The donor can then provide the specimen. The donor is required to provide a minimum of 15 ml of specimen. When completed, the operator should check the cap to ensure it is securely sealed and remove the peel-off label.
The operator should immediately start a timer for five minutes to ensure the specimen is checked within the specified time limit. Rapid results drug tests are not intended to sit for more than eight minutes and doing so may impact the accuracy of results.
Between two and four minutes, check the temperature strip to ensure the specimen is in the proper range. The green indicator can be used to determine the temperature is in the correct range for human urine. Ensure the temperature is consistently between 90 and 100 degrees F. At five minutes, the results can be read. Do not interpret any results after eight minutes.
When handling the specimen, operators should follow universal precautions for handling and disposing of human fluids. Urine can be infectious and requires proper handling for both health and safety as well as the integrity of the sample.
Discard of your 5 panel urine drug test cup if there is any evidence of microbial contamination or precipitation on the device. Test cups can only be used until the expiry date sited on the equipment and accuracy is significantly reduced if used after the expiration.
If the sample does contain any of the six drugs or metabolites in the 5 panel urine drug test, the result is positive and no colored band will form in the result area of the testing cup. This indicates that the levels of drugs and metabolites tested for are at or above the cut-off concentrations as set by SAMHSA. In the case of a positive test result, the cup and specimen should be sent to a toxicology laboratory for further confirmation.
If the sample does not contain any of the six drugs or metabolites in the urine drug test, the result is negative and a colored band will form in the result area of the testing cup. This indicates that the levels of drugs and metabolites tested for are below the cut-off concentrations as set by SAMHSA.
