TESTING INSTRUCTIONS

Testing Instructions

  • Remove the test strip from the sealed pouch and use it promptly. For best accuracy, begin testing within one hour of opening.
  • Hold the test strip by the labeled end only. Avoid touching the test membrane to prevent contamination.
  • Dip the test strip vertically into the urine specimen for 10–15 seconds. Do not immerse past the marked MAX line.
  • As the strip absorbs the specimen, the test will begin processing and color will move across the membrane.
  • Remove the strip and place it flat on a clean, non-absorbent surface. Read results within 3 minutes. Do not interpret results after 10 minutes.

How To Interpret Test Strip Results:

CT positive
Positive:
Only one colored band appears in the control region (C).
No apparent colored band appears in the test region (T)

2-NEGATIVE-1
Negative:
Two colored bands appear on the membrane.
One band appears in the control regions ©, and another in the test region (T).

INVALID
Invalid:
Any result without a control band at the read time is invalid. Retest with a new device. If the issue continues, discontinue use and contact your distributor.

MORE INFO: Adulteration Test Strips

What Are Adulteration Test Strips?

Adulteration Test Strips are used to determine whether a urine sample has been altered to interfere with drug test results. They help confirm that a specimen is valid before drug screening is performed.

Adulterants Detected

These strips test for key indicators of tampering, including:

  • Creatinine (CRE) – detects dilution

  • pH – flags abnormal acidity or alkalinity

  • Specific Gravity (SG) – verifies urine concentration

  • Oxidants (OX) – identifies bleach or masking agents

  • Nitrites (NIT) – detects chemical adulteration

  • Glutaraldehyde (GLUT) – flags synthetic additives

Why Use Adulteration Test Strips?

Urine adulteration is a common method used to falsify drug test results. Using adulteration strips helps identify diluted, substituted, or chemically altered samples before they produce inaccurate outcomes.

Who Uses Them?

  • Drug testing labs

  • Treatment and rehabilitation centers

  • Medical professionals

  • Employers and legal authorities

Protect test accuracy by verifying every urine sample with Adulteration Test Strips.
